The Third Archway
This archway is named “the Third Archway” because it ranked third form south to north next to the Jinma archway and Biji Archway and the Loyalty and Love Archway. It was rebuilt in the reign of Qian Long in the Qing Dynasty. It is now sits on the crossing of Weiyuan Street and Guanghua Street.
Daguan Park
Located by the Dianchi Lake in southwest Kunming, it was built in the 29th year of the reign of Kang Xi in Qing Dynasty; it is a complex of park architecture with natural landscape and cultural attractions. It boasts a 180-word antithetical couplet, the longest in china, written by Sun Ranweng, a celebrated scholar in the Qing Dynasty.
Jinri Tower
Initially built as the southern gate tower of Kunming City between the end of the Ming and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, it once marked the central area of Kunming. It was relocated and rebuilt in 2001. The two temple towers in the west and east on both sides of it is the extant oldest of Kunming. In the famous writer Guo Moruo’s “peacock”s gallbladder. The story between Duan Gong hereditary person in over-all charge of Dali and the Agai Princess happen here.
Golden Temple
It is widely known by the people because it was once Wu Sangui and Chen Yuanyuan’s temporary dwelling place. It is located on Mingfeng Hill in northeast Kunming. It is a national 4A scenic spot. The existing Bronze Temple was built in the 21st year of the reign of Kang Xi in the largest ancient bronze temple in china.
